Our Doctors

Dr. McIntyre and Dr. Angelopulos love their job! They also love learning and improving their skills; so they are always taking courses from the top professionals across the country. When you put these two together – you have highly skilled doctors that are fun to be around because they really enjoy what they’re doing. When you’re in our doctor’s chairs, you actually have a good time! However, the most important person in our Bridgewater office is you! We really care about every individual patient and take the time to get to know you, listen to you, and focus on your dental concerns and desires.

Both of our doctors have a vested interest in our community because they are raising their families here and love all the wonderful benefits of living in the Shenandoah Valley. To give back to the community, Dr. McIntyre and Dr. Angelopulos volunteer at the “Mission of Mercy” dental program in Wytheville, Virginia, participate in the Children’s Dental Health Day in Harrisonburg, VA, and take Dental Emergency Call for Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Dr. McIntyre and Dr. Angelopulos also co-author a weekly column “Tooth Talk”  in the Daily News Record newspaper as a public service to provide information on the various aspects of dentistry.

Joe McIntyre, DDS: “Dr. Mac”

Dr. McIntyre grew up on a turkey farm in Roseville, California before attending Brigham Young University and earning a bachelor’s degree in zoology. He then went to the University of California San Francisco Dental School and graduated with his DDS in 1982. Dr Mac loves being a dentist and has enjoyed all the wonderful friendships with his patients over the past 25 years.

After meeting Becky at BYU, they married in 1976 and have six children, three girls and three boys, and four adorable grandchildren. For 18 years, Becky enjoyed being a full time Mom with the children. In 1997, she graduated from Dental Hygiene School and now works alongside her husband and Dr. Ange in the practice.

Dr McIntyre enjoys spending his free time with the family traveling, camping, fishing, (especially fishing!!), and woodworking. He volunteers with the Boy Scouts and is proud to say that all three of his sons earned their Eagle Scout Award. He also enjoys watching his children participate in extra-curricular activities like sports, ballet, and drama. Helping his kids work on their first home and playing with the grandkids keeps Dr. Mac young and happy.

Chris Angleopulos, DMD: “Dr. Ange”

Originally from Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, Dr. Ange graduated from Lake Forest College, IL with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business. After using his degree in the corporate world, Dr. Ange realized he truly desired a career that encompassed his artistic abilities, his attention to details and a friendlier work environment. Knowing this Dr. Ange pursued a dental career. He received his DMD from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2002. He enjoys his career, loves the staff he works with and is confident that moving to the valley was the right choice.

Dr. Ange met his wife, Karla, at Lake Forest College in 1991. They have been married for 11 years and have two children, Orion and Bailee. Karla grew up on a dairy farm in Indiana and is the youngest of nine children. She too received her BA at Lake Forest with a double major in Elementary Education and Psychology. After college she taught elementary school for eight years during which she obtained her Master of Education degree in Reading and Writing. Once Orion arrived, Karla chose to focus her full attention on raising their young family.

Dr. Ange enjoys spending time with his family, especially around campfires or swimming. He also enjoys woodworking, home improvement projects, gardening, and coaching T-ball.
